At My Social Sports, our number one priority is the health and safety of our players. You guys rock, and we want to make sure that we’re all laughing and playing together for a long time to come. We know you have questions and so we want to let you know that we are monitoring the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) closely. We are monitoring expert recommendations including guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control, our venues and local and state officials.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are suspending leagues until April 3, 2020. We’re close to playoffs. It’s definitely a bummer. But with 4 weeks before Spring leagues start, we are confident that utilizing social distancing now will result in no impact to our Spring leagues, and ideally, we will be back in several weeks to finish our winter sessions, socialize with each other, and celebrate just how amazing it is to hang with fun people playing sports.
It is important to note that we are not canceling games or playoffs, and that we intend to reschedule them as soon as we can resume play. We will update schedules accordingly.
It is also important to note that we do not believe that this will affect the timing of our Spring outdoor leagues, and that any postponement would minimally affect indoor league schedules, so be sure to register for those so you don’t miss out on Spring session.
Right now, we don’t know as much as we’d like to. But we will continue to monitor the situation closely, and you can expect us to issue updates at least once a week by email.
These emails will likely come from havefun@mysocialsports.
We love you guys, and we can’t wait to get back to doing what we do best – playing sports, meeting people and having fun.
In the meantime, take care of yourselves. Wash your hands. Keep being awesome.
Love from all of us at My Social Sports.
